Jane Wilson Garden Designer exploring the Capability Brown designed garden at StoweHello, I’m Jane Wilson and this is my website. I have always loved gardening and garden design.

My dream was always to become a professional garden designer. When the opportunity arose, I enrolled at the famous Merrist Wood College in Worplesdon. Here, I studied Garden Design under the guidance of three RHS Gold Medal winning designers, Stephen Firth, Alison Page and Annie Berriman and gained a Merit in the Garden Design Diploma.

I had learnt so much already from my Grampy who was a great teacher and my mum who is still a great teacher and gardener, at the age of 81! They instilled a gardening passion in me. ~Gardening I find is the best form of relaxation, peace and tranquility you can ever achieve in life. Mix that with an ability to create and design new spaces for people to enjoy and everyone is happy.

I enjoy creating appealing planting combinations and especially enjoy the works of Dan Pearson, Piet Oudolf and the wonderful creator of the garden at Great Dixter, Christopher Lloyd. In planting design I do believe that anything is possible!

My style is mostly contemporary, prairie, cottage and arts and crafts, but as I said before, anything is possible and I enjoy exploring new, different and thought provoking design ideas.

I would love to help you achieve your dream garden so if my ideas on garden design strike a chord with you, contact me to find out what we can achieve together.
